Gillian and Gisele’s presentations will be around themes such as: cycling as performance, examining intention, exploring the border between the rural and the urban, ownership, memory and the legacies of socially-engaged performance practice.

Interactions Mini-Symposium #2—Yorkshire Dance, Leeds                         Weds 8.10.14    6.30—8.30pm

Tim Jeeves and Dani Abulhawa will make presentations on their work at Yorkshire Dance, Leeds, accompanied by Gillian Dyson, Gisele Bone and Sarah Spanton; facilitating a friendly, thought provoking and active participatory discussion-workshop around socially-engaged performance practice.

Tim and Dani’s presentations will be around themes such as: the gendered built environment, anti-virtuosity, social-activism, subverting urban space, using the urban landscape as a play space/gym, the ethics of participation, the terms on which participants are engaged in the work.
